Walking for Daddy-o
Thank you for supporting my journey to fight Alzheimer’s disease.
As some of you know, this hits home for me.
In 2011 while at work, my dad had a major accident. He came very close to losing his leg. Fortunately with the care he recieved, he managed to keep it. Shortly after, my mom noticed changes in his behavior. After 1 year of testing we found out that my dad had been diagnosed with FTD.
The Alzheimer's Society of Manitoba was extremely helpful to my family during this difficult time, and I want to give back!
Dementia robbed my sisters and I of a dad, robbed my mom of a husband, robbed my children of a Poppa. Dementia stole a lot of things, but it NEVER stole the love.
On September 11, 2016, my dad, Tom "Boz" Carter, gained his wings.
This year I have committed to participating in The Investors Group Walk for Alzheimer’s because the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba provides essential programs and services that work to effectively alleviate the personal and social consequences of Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias within our community.
By making a donation to me, you are helping the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba to continue its important work towards a world without Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias.
Thank you again for your kind and generous support.
